How fun that Indianapolis hosted the Super Bowl this year!!!!!! Our city did a great job and it was a fun time for everyone. Pat, Connor, Morgan and Chase went down to the NFL Experience on a Sunday afternoon and here are some pictures and videos!

Erin's 15 Month Well Baby Visit

Erin had her 15 Month Well Baby visit with Dr. Boyce in December and unfortunately I was home with the stomach flu (YUCK!), so Pat took her.

Dr. Boyce said everything looked good and even though she only has two words right now (ball and Mama) he was not concerned and said we could talk about it again at her 18 month appointment.

She weighed in at 23 pounds, 12 ounces and was 32.5 inches long. Still a long baby!

We had our first snow of the season at the end of last week/beginning of the weekend and the kids got out to play in it for a little bit with Pat on Saturday AM. It was snowy and COLD, so they were not out for long. We weren't going to send Erin out, but when she saw Connor going out, she did not want to be left out.

I tried to get a picture of all three out in the cold, but Connor was not in a cooperating mood, so here is Erin and her Daddy...her favorite! :)

Cancun, Mexico

Pat and I were VERY lucky and got to get a way for a few days at the beginning of the month. Meme and Pops watched the kids while we took a long weekend trip to Cancun, Mexico (THANK YOU MEME AND POPS!). We stayed at The Royal in Cancun and it was WONDERFUL! Our good friend and travel agent, Kate McGowan, hooked us up and it was wonderful (if anyone needs help planning a trip, Kate is GREAT and I can get you in touch with her...just let me know!). Here are some pictures from our few days in paradise.

It was tough to leave, but we were also happy to get home to see our kiddos whom we missed terribly!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We spent Christmas Eve with Meme and Pops and then the entire Murphy clan was together for Christmas Day at Meme and Pops. It was wonderful to spend time with Ryan, Jeni, Cole, Mae, Maryjane, Jon, Leah, Meme and Pops! The kids had a blast and it is so much fun to see Connor really understand Christmas, Santa, Jesus' Birthday...the whole shebang! :)

We attended Breakfast with Santa at St. Pius this year and Connor was SUPER excited to see Santa. He still did not want to sit on his lap, but did very well standing near him and talking to him. Erin wasn't a huge fan, but from the pictures below we actually got a few where she was doing quite well!

Thanksgiving Florida Trip 2011

We took our first LONG road trip with the kids to visit my parents in Florida for Thanksgiving. Although Pat and I were both slightly nervous about the drive, both kids did great and we would not hesitate to drive down again. We had a great week with Mom and Dad enjoying the pool, good food and good times!

The night we got there, we had our "Christmas" and celebrated with a yummy Italian dinner and some gifts. Both kids LOVED their gifts...the Racers Raceway and Cinderella castle were the favs!

I can't believe this guy is FOUR years old! WOW...time sure does fly!

Connor had a great birthday weekend and a great day on Tuesday...a special sticker, plate and napkin at school was a highlight, as well as a trip to Toys R Us and then dinner at Paradise.

He had his four year appointment with Dr. Boyce and he is very happy with our little guy. Connor weighs 41 pounds (50-75 percentile) and is 44.5 inches tall (95th percentile). He passed all of Dr. Boyce's questions and tests with flying colors and did a great job!

Connor has been SUPER creative these days about being a firefighter. They have been learning about fire safety at school and then he went to cousin Cole's 5th birthday at a firehouse, so we have firemen on the brain!

He uses his raincoat, the hat he got at school, his rain boots, the Star Wars mask he got from Uncle Ryan, Aunt Jeni, Cole and Mae for his birthday and his "oxygen" is a cow bag (filled with tools to help fight the fires) that Uncle Jay, Auntie Erin, Kendall and Cole gave him for his birthday last year.

Erin's One Year Well Baby Visit

Erin had her one year well baby visit with Dr. Boyce this week and everything looks great! He is happy with her growth and development and expects her to be walking, soon!

She is weighing in at 23 lbs and is 31.5 inches tall.

Funny, Connor weighed two pounds more at a year and was a 1/2 inch taller...they certainly are brother and sister!

Mom, Penny, Erin and I had a Girls Night Out last Friday night when all of the boys headed downtown to see the Colts play. We did some shopping and then had a yummy dinner at Bonefish Grill. Erin was getting a little antsy at dinner, so we gave her a lemon...the faces she was making were HILARIOUS...but she kept going back to the lemons! Here is a cute pic and a short video!

Erin's 9 Month (Actually 10 Month) Well Baby Visit

Erin had her 9 month well baby visit a week or so ago...he was actually closer to ten months at the time, but who is counting!

She weighed in at 21 pounds (90th percentile) and almost 30 inches tall (95th percentile).

She is now sitting up from her back and stomach, eating table food like a champ, crawling a little bit but moving a TON by doing this crazy move while sitting up and bending her legs...it is strange, but it gets her where she wants to be. She is in to EVERYTHING and LOVES all of Connor's toys way more then her own...letting the bugging her older brother begin!

Chicago Trip July 2011

The kids and I took a trip up to Chicago at the end of July and had a great time! We started off visiting Erin, Cole, Kendall and the Cowan family and had an AMAZING time! I was so nice to spend some quality time with my BFF and I miss her a ton!

After the visit with Erin, we made our way to Ben and Julia's to spend some time with Griffin AND our adorable new nephew/cousin Duncan. We had a wonderful time and I hope my visit was helpful to the new family!

We just got back from a WONDERFUL week in Benton Harbor/St. Joe's Michigan on the Murphy Family vacation. It was a blast with great company, wonderful food, fun times with the kids and a never ending supply of Corona Lights! :)

Connor has been playing soccer this spring through the YMCA. He has had some ups and downs, but all in all is doing well. The only game he has scored (2 goals! :)) is the one game Mom missed. BUMMER! Erin had her 6 month appointment with Dr. Boyce a few weeks ago. He said she is doing great. She weighed in at 17 pounds 8 ounces and was 27.5 inches long. She is eating fruits and veggies now (along with her rice cereal and oatmeal) and pretty much likes anything we give her. She likes to eat! :) She is now sitting up on her own and loves to sit and play with her toys. She sometimes topples over, so we still have pillows on all three sides of her just in case! Here is a pic of her playing away!

Connor, Erin and I are down in Florida right now visiting my Mom and Dad. Even though we miss Daddy A TON, it is so nice to be down here in the warm weather! We took a day/night trip up to Vero Beach and stayed at the Disney Resort at Vero Beach (it was a blast! :)) and now we are back in Stuart relaxing and soaking up the rays in the pool! :) More pictures to come from the second part of our trip next week.

Erin's Four Month Appointment

Erin had a great 4 month pediatrician appointment with Dr. Boyce. She weighed in at 12.5 lbs. (25th percentile), 24 inches long (50th percentile) and her head was 40 cm (25th percentile). She is such a peanut compared to Connor!

She is sleeping through the night, giving us tons of smiles and big belly laughs, LOVES her big brother Connor and is just all around a great baby!

The Willis Family made a trip up to Indianapolis the weekend of Martin Luther King Junior weekend and we had a great time! What a wonderful first Christmas as a family of four! We started the day with gift opening (with Grandma Kris and Grandpa Tom) and a great breakfast! Then, the celebration continued with Aunt Jane, Uncle Jon, Leah, Meme and Pops. We ate some delicious appetizers throughout the day and finished the night off with homemade pizza...it was a perfect, laid back celebration

Connor just LOVES Santa, reindeer, etc...and had an absolute blast. It was so much fun to watch the excitement in his eyes ALL DAY!

We had another fun filled family weekend at the Murphy home! We had Breakfast with Santa at St. Pius on Saturday AM and Saturday also brought our first significant snow storm of the season. Top it off with movie night...Lion King...it was a great Saturday!

We had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving week and weekend! After Auntie Honey left, Pat was able to take some time off of work so he returned home on Tuesday around noon and was home until Monday AM...we had so much fun! Not much time to write, but we had a blast and here are some pics from the week and weekend!

Well Baby Visits

I am a little behind on this post, but wanted to post the stats of my two healthy children from their last couple of doctor's appointments.

Connor's Three Year Appointment: Dr. Boyce was very happy with Connor's growth & development and he continues to be our big kid. He weighed in at 36.5 pounds (90th percentile) and is 40.5 inches tall (95th percentile). Not bad for a kid who only likes snacks and not meals! :) He did get a flu shot and one updated vaccine...it was horrible! He looked at me like he could not believe I was letting them stick him with the needles and I felt horrible. I think kids getting shots may be worse for the parents!

Erin's One Month Appointment: At this appointment Erin weighed in at 7 pounds and was 19 3/4 inches long. Not sure percentiles, but she had grown since birth so we were all happy!

Erin's Two Month Appointment: We had this one today. She weighed in at 9 lbs 4 ounces and is 21 inches long. Not sure percentiles again, but she is definitely growing and that is all that matters. No real concerns with Ms. Erin either...she does tend to like to turn one way with her head so she is getting a little flat on one side (Connor got pretty flat so this did not surprise me) and we will work to make her turn her head to the left a little bit more to hopefully correct this. She also had her first round of vaccines and has been pretty much out the rest of the day...sleeping in our arms or in her swing. We are going to start working on a nighttime routine for her, with tonight being the first night...so wish us luck!

All in all, two healthy kiddos...we are extremely blessed!

We have been busy, but we sure have been having fun!

Auntie Erin came to visit last week from Minnesota (I regret to say that I did not take one picture :() and we had a blast! She really enjoyed meeting Erin and spending time with Connor and I enjoyed having my best friend around for a few days. Love you and miss you tons!

Then, Auntie Honey came to visit for a few days after Erin left and we had a great time as well. It was great having an extra set of hands around and I got a ton done while Auntie Honey spent a lot of time holding Erin and playing with Connor. Auntie Honey was much better with her camera, so here are some pictures!

Connor's Third Birthday at Monkey Joe's

Connor had a great third birthday weekend! He started off his birthday celebration with his friend party at a bounce place here in Indy called Monkey Joe's. He LOVES it here and had a great time at his party.

We did have a small mishap when we first arrived (and we arrived about 30 minutes before the party started) as Connor jumped off of a slide and hurt his arm, so he refused to play on anything until the last 20 minutes of the party. Kind of funny since he loves it at Monkey Joe's, but I guess so is life with a three year old! :)

Here are a few shots from us leaving the hospital and then at home on our first day/night as a family of four. Our first night home Connor wanted to hold Erin, so here are those pictures as well (he wanted NOTHING to do with her in the hospital, but once we got home he was all about her). He is being a great big brother...always giving her kisses on the head, being gentle and making sure she is doing OK. We are actually getting a decent amount of sleep (knock on wood) and are really enjoying our new life as a family of four!

Our annual trip to the Indiana State Fair did not disappoint this year (although none of us were brave enough to try the bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo...all served between two Krispy Kreme donuts! :)) and a great time was had by all. Some of the food eaten included corn dogs, soft pretzels, corn on the cob, grilled cheese from the Dairy Bar (my favorite), pork tenderloin sandwich (also very tasty), steak sandwiches and vanilla ice cream cones!

A few weekends ago we spent a weekend in Chicago (downtown) to celebrate my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary (that they celebrated back in May) with them, Ben, Julia and Griffin. It was a wonderful weekend with the following highlights:

Connor, D, Julia and Griffin...my Mom bought the boys these shirts last time they were at Disney and so we had matching boys on Saturday!

Love that they were having so much fun together...I think Griffin is howling! :)
